Silk provides unique comfort to this model: it is described as "climate-controlling", meaning these knee-highs are cool and light in summer and warm in winter. A true technical success, they are supple, and the knit is full and smooth.
They are fully Lycra-infused and specifically knitted with a non-constricting ribbed cuff, ensuring a perfect, non-compressive fit on your legs. The closure of these knee-highs is fine and extremely neat: they are hand-linked without a seam.
Their heels and toes are reinforced with an extra, very resistant thread for greater durability and lifespan. These Berthe Aux Grands Pieds knee-highs benefit from all the expertise of the Perrin hosiery factory: the knit is perfectly adjusted between the calf and ankle, thanks to a specific knitting method called progressive shaping.
Silk is very sensitive to friction, so the heel tops are reinforced to prevent any contact of the silk with the shoe's counter. Vertical stripes crafted in a honeycomb pattern add transparency to this model. "Soie" (Silk) is inscribed on the toe.
