Exhibition of Saône et Loire Wood Enthusiasts
The Saône et Loire Wood Enthusiasts Association will exhibit its creations in the Manufacture Perrin factory store , from December 9 to 15, 2024.
Who are the Passionnés du Bois 71?
It is an association under the 1901 law with nearly 90 members . Created in Les Bizots in 1955 , it is now based in the commune of Montchanin , where its workshop is located (behind the communal post office).
What is the purpose of this association?
Volunteers meet there every Thursday , united by a shared interest in woodworking (sculpting, turning, marquetry, fretwork and cabinetmaking) and the sharing of common values, which are mutual aid and the transmission of knowledge.
Where to find them?
In addition to this exhibition, Les Passionnés du Bois 71 participates in many local and regional events. The association also organizes the "Autour du bois" show every two years, each edition of which brings together around forty exhibitors and allows them to present remarkable pieces, whether for their dimensions or the complexity of their creation.
What is the link with Perrin?
La Manufacture Perrin is a century-old hosiery workshop founded in 1924 in Montceau-les-Mines. Labeled Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant since 2014, the company is very committed to maintaining and passing on age-old know-how. As such, we are happy to welcome this team of enthusiasts to our premises for the duration of the exhibition.
Opening hours
Come and visit them in large numbers during the second week of December . The exhibition is open at the same times as the Perrin store, namely:
- Monday: 2 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
- Tuesday to Saturday: 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- Sunday: 2 p.m. - 6 p.m.

The Cathedral of Made in France
The Manufacture Perrin aims to be a Cathedral of Made in France , within which you can find items from our 3 sock brands (Perrin 1924, Dagobert à l'envers and La Chaussette Française) as well as partner brands also manufacturing in France, such as Berthe Aux Grands Pieds, Le Slip Français, 1083, Saint-James, Armor-Lux or Tissage Moutet.
A place open to the city
The management of our company also wanted to make this place a place open to the outside world , capable of hosting events such as our two annual fashion shows or the Christmas Market of the Méca Sport Insertion association .
Organize an event
Equipped with a fully equipped and modular seminar room , as well as a reception area , our factory store regularly hosts meetings of large local and international groups: Colas public works, Eckes-Granini fruit juices or Michelin tires.
These companies benefit from offering participants a stimulating framework for reflection and an instructive and fun guided tour .
