Emmanuel Macron has received his Perrin socks

In September, Franck Couturier, director of the Manufacture Perrin in Montceau-les-Mines, sent the President of the Republic socks and tights for his wife. He received a letter of thanks on October 11 and hopes to receive Emmanuel Macron to show him his 100% French manufacturing.

When opening his mail, the President of the Republic finds something to wear for the winter! Many companies send him products in the hope of a return.
So, last month, Franck Couturier, sales director of the Perrin factory in Montceau-les-Mines, sent an invitation to visit the company, accompanied by pairs of socks and tights. " Brigitte Macron has beautiful legs, legs for tights. It's so that she can help us, too, to communicate ." Concerning the socks, " we wanted to send the president the French sock, haute couture, handmade like a century ago, but with modern technologies. All the socks that come off the looms are opened at the tip and have to be closed. There, they are finished on the loom directly with a small robot that closes the stitch without a seam. It's faster and it allows more people to have access to this high-end sock ."

Living Heritage Company

The idea is also to give news to the President of companies labeled Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant, a distinction created while Emmanuel Macron was Minister of the Economy. " We wanted to show that there is a factory in Saône-et-Loire that has been 100% French manufacturing since 1924, which provides training for young people in this know-how. The label helps us with exports, it guarantees excellence. But we are also looking to the future with the connected sock ."

Presidential Response

In his letter, the President " promised that if he could come and see us, he would do so," says Franck Couturier. "We were very touched, it's a little source of pride, I'm going to frame it! "
Perrin socks are not the only ones to be talked about in this way.

The President has already received underpants from a Landes brand and briefs from the brand "le slip français", with which she collaborates, as with other brands such as Dior.
The manufacturer works with 2,500 boutiques, operates six stores and the websites of its four brands, Perrin, Berthe aux grands pieds, Dagobert à l'envers and La Chaussette française.
